Paihia has gone to the Birds

Our intrepid birder has been tickled the last few days as we have seen so many birds and he has had his camera with him continually. I promised to send some pics for Ted and will include the birds names, but sadly they may not be in order as I have not yet figured out how to place the photos in order lol

4. Pied Stilt

5. Fantail

6. Eastern Rosella

7. NZ Pigeon

8. Yellowhead

9. Common Mynah Bird

10. Kingfisher (eating - very impressed teddy)

11. a little chick we saw at the side of the road at Miatai Beach

12. Swamp Hen

13. California Quail - introduced in the 50’s for some reason, but interesting nonetheless

14. Black backed Gull
